So the girl dumps you, or simply gives you the "I am not interested message" and instead of feeling rejected and hurt you feel relief at a choice removed and a load lessened. And yet in what seems, with hindsight, as the briefest of moments your life is again crossing paths with someone who ignites the "what if" part of your imagination...

...so you move, only to realise that not all motion is forward progress, sometimes its sideways and sometimes it is even a few steps back, or maybe that sometimes change really changes nothing...

...or to really quote Bruce Wayne,

"My life is really...
...complex."

But then maybe complex is the only thing life ever is?

Some decisions, some choices do not come easily, especially when hurting someone who you like, someone you care about is the furthest from your desire. But sometimes in the mire of complexity the path forward is also that which really is the most simple.

Sometimes life really is just all about "putting one foot in front of the other".
