I have been asked more than a few times, why the name? What does it mean?Simple really. I was/am a big Indiana Jones fan, Raiders was probably one of the most influential movies of my childhood, that Star Wars and Weird Science. So seeing how I ended up with a Degree in Egyptology and Computer Science, have yet to get into space or construct the perfect woman from a computer program, I'd have to say Indiana Jones and his adventures in archaeology have had thus far, the bigger impact.
In the third movie we learn that Indiana is not the characters real name, but rather a nickname he had "borrowed" from the family dog, so being a fan and getting a dog at about the same time I promptly named him Indiana...so, yes, there really was a dog, and, yes his name really was Indiana.
